RONALD B. BURKE, 48, of Walkersville, Md., formerly of TOMS RIVER, died suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 28, at his home. Born in Levittown, Pa., he lived in Toms River for many years before moving to Walkersville three years ago. Ron was a medical phlebotomist technician with the Bio Reference lab company in Toms River for 20 years. He was a devoted father who will be sorely missed.
He was predeceased by his mother, Edith Wing-Socolowski. Surviving are his wife, Donna Freeman Burke; a son, Brian Burke of Sayreville; two daughters, Christina Burke of Tuckerton, and Navy ATA(wa) Michele Burke of Seattle; his father, John Burke of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Barbi-Jon Burke of Waterville, Maine, and Janet Perrone of Hobbs, N.M.; four brothers, Stephen Burke of Freehold, Daniel Burke of Bridgeton, Paul Burke of Las Vegas, and Paul Buys of Florida; and his granddaughter, Savannah Stauffer.Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Route 9, Bayville. Funeral services will be offered at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
